NSE-liveried English Electric Class 50 No. 50035 "Ark Royal" heads south away from Leamington Spa circa 1989 with a Paddington bound service. New from the Vulcan Foundry on 30th September 1968, the locomotive worked until 1st August 1990 - being withdrawn from Laira depot. Saved from the scrapheap by The Fifty Fund No. 50035 was the first of the class to be preserved and now resides at The Severn Valley railway.
