Built at Gorton Works, Manchester in 1952 Class 76 No. 76025 spent almost 30 years working on the Woodhead Route between Lancashire and Yorkshire. On 17th September 1977 No. 76025 is seen on Wath Stabling Point Yorkshire dual braked and multiple working fitted ready for the following weeks freight duties across the Pennines. Withdrawn upon the closure of the Woodhead Line in July 1981 No. 76025 was scrapped by CF Booth Rotherham by April 1984.
