Class 85 No. 85005 comes to the rescue of failed Class 87 No. 87023 "Velocity", seen passing Bescot Station with a Birmingham bound service on 18th March 1990. No. 85005 was withdrawn a few weeks later in May 1990, but No. 87023 survives in Bulgaria.
