The Network Southeast Railway Society held their first public open day at Finmere in Oxfordshire on 13th and 14th August. The NSE 30 event included the naming of 4 CIG unit No. 1753 "Chris Green" by the man himself. The unit spent the weekend hauling passenger shuttles hauled by former Eurostar Class 73/1 No. 73130 owned by COVES (Coulsdon Old Vehicle & Engineering Society) owners of the Finmere site. The site of the event was the former Finmere station on the Great Central Railway. The station closed to passengers on 4th March 1963. (This photograph was taken under the supervision of and with the full permission of the NSRS.)
