A busy scene at Ropley Station during the late afternoon of the first day of the Mid Hants Railway Autumn Steam Gala, the 21st October 2016. On the extreme right of the picture, LMS rebuilt 'Royal Scot' 4-6-0 No. 46100 'Royal Scot' waits to depart with the 16:22 service to Alton while alongside heading in the opposite direction is a recreation of the last BR train over this line in 1976 hauled by BR Class 08 Diesel Shunter No. 08377. On the left resident BR Standard Class 9F 2-10-0 No. 92212 has reversed onto shed having completed its duties for the day.
