Network Rail New Measurement Train, headed by Class 43 Power Car No. 43014 "The Railway Observer" (with Classmate No. 43062 unseen at the rear) passes under Bowley's bridge at Normanton on Soar on 27th October 2016 on the 08:50 Derby RTC to St. Pancras and return to Derby via Nottingham and Leicester test train. No. 43014 is seen from a temporary footbridge erected as Bowley's bridge is to be demolished in November 2016 and rebuilt as part of improvements for the MML electrification.
