Traffic was heavily disrupted on the WCML due to the landslide near Watford with the effect being felt further north. Here an unidentified Virgin Pendolino, originally bound for Glasgow with the 09:43 from London Euston heads through Leyland over an hour late only to be terminated at Preston on 16th September 2016.
