With a Class-typical plume of black exhaust, Class 47/4 No. 47598, in revised Network South East livery, leaves Birmingham International Station on 19th August 1989 with a London Paddington to Birmingham New Street service. No. 47598 began in November 1964 as No. D1777, became No. 47182 and was scrapped in May 2007 as RES No. 47742.
