To the left, Class 700/1 EMU No. 700111 approaches on the down slow line with the 14:08 Blackfriars - Three Bridges service train while, to the right, Class 387/1 EMU No. 387127 leads the 13:10 Bedford - Brighton working. The Class 700/1 train could not operate between Bedford and London due to a lineside fatality.
