A timeless scene, but everything is new! Metropolitan Cammell Class 101 DMU comprising Nos. E51427 and E50266 stand in dappled sunshine at Nunckley Hill between services on the Mountsorrel Branch Line on 21st August 2016. The shuttle services ran from here to Bond Lane, Mountsorrel and then reversed to travel to the current limit of the branch at Swithland Sidings. To the top left of the unit can be seen the Granite Museum and Cafe and to the left out of shot are sidings and a shed that will house historical vehicles associated with the stone quarry industry.
