The Swanage Diesel Gala on May 8th 2016 gave passengers the chance of brake van rides on the extension from Norden to River Frome. Class 08 No. 08436 leads the two brake vans with sister 08 No. D3591 on the rear past Cats Eye Crossing. This was the 14:25 service from River Frome.
