Provincial Class 150 No. 150256 on 7.38 Scarborough-Liverpool Lime St passes an unidentified Class 142 heading for Manchester Victoria at Ordsall Lane Junction Salford with the Manchester skyline in the background on 29th October 1988. To the rear of the Class150 the line to the right leads to Deansgate and Manchester Piccadilly and the one to the left to Salford Central and Manchester Victoria. The two are being connected at present by a new spur to form a triangle in 2016.
