GWR Class 4200 No. 4247 crosses Corfe Common with the 17:25 service from Frome River to Swanage on April 9th 2016. On the rear of the train, but apparently doing no work is LSWR Drummond M7 No. 30053. The GWR tank was visiting from the Bodmin and Wenford Railway for the Swanage Gala, however it was unfortunately found to be out of gauge for one platform at both Corfe Castle and Harmans Cross stations. Because of this its operations were restricted to the extension to and Frome River, apart from and early morning freight to position the loco at Norden, and the return passenger train shown in the photo.
