The Norton Bridge Diversion Scheme is being commissioned during Easter Weekend 2016 resulting in the complete closure of the WCML direct route between Stafford and Crewe. On the morning of 25th March Freightliner Class 66/5 No. 66513 stands on the Down Fast Line at the southern end of the diversion at Little Bridgeford on an Engineers Train loaded with Track Panels removed from the Slow Lines to facilitate the installation of the new junction with new Track Panels ready to be slid into place seen sitting on the new Up North Staffs Line behind the train.
