A panned shot of LMS Stanier Black 5 4-6-0 No. 44780 passing over Loughborough Midland station with a Nottingham Victoria to London Marylebone semi-fast service on 22nd April 1966. The GCR bridge was removed in the 1980s, but the ground works for a replacement single span bridge commenced in February 2016, which will reunify the 2 parts of the now preserved GCR. No. 44780 survived until June 1968.
