The sole unit of the self contained U55 line on the Berlin U-Bahn network prepares to leave the main station towards the Brandenburger Tor on 28th July 2015. Work is now well underway connecting this line with the U5 line at Alexanderplatz to improve access to Berlin Hauptbahnhof. The new line should be open by 2018.
