Norton Bridge Diversion Scheme. Excavation of the deep cutting to carry the new NS Line/DownSlow Line is almost complete as seen in this northerly view from Searchlight Lane Chebsey on 9th September 2015. The route of the new NS Line Double Track diverges to the right and the Down Slow Single Line which has still to be excavated at this point will head for the large tree in the middle distance.
