Much is known about the BR ban on steam locomtives on the main line after 11th August 1968 and the journey of BR Standard Pacific No. 70013 to Diss over the 12 and 13th August 1968, but less has been published regarding the light engine move under its own power of LMS Black 5 4-6-0 No. 45428 from Holbeck to Tyseley on 24th August 1968. No. 45428 is seen waiting to leave Derby bay platform 5 on the last part of its journey to preservation, now to be seen at the NYMR.
