A busy afternoon scene at Glasgow Central Station on Wednesday 4th June 1986 finds Class 303 No. 303014 leaving Platform 5 with a sister unit on a service to Neilston via Queens Park. In Platform 6 an unidentified Class 47/4 awaits departure time with a semi-fast service to Nottingham via Carlisle and Leeds while Platforms 8 and 9 hold Class 303 units awaiting their next duties. A WCML service for London Euston can just be seen in Platform 2. The clock on Platform shows 15.45 so the evening rush hour is not far away.
