GB Railfreight Class 73/9 No. 73965 passes Spondon on a test run on 14th July 2015, working light engine from Brush Works Loughborough to Derby and return. Just a short time later Classmates No. 73963 and No. 73962 also worked through Spondon on a test train from Tonbridge.
