3 Class 20's No. 20039, 20089 and 20125 are stabled opposite Polmadie MPD on 26th Match 1976. All are allocated to nearby Eastfield MPD Glasgow and at first glance seem identical, all being from the first headcode disc series and all are in BR rail blue livery. However a closer look shows that all carry different markings. No. 20039 was originally fitted with tablet catching equipment on the cab side and although this has been plated over the number is still very high on the cab side and in a non standard font. No. 20089 in the middle is in standard markings and finally No. 20125 on the left has the number low on the cab side with the double arrow just visible on the rear engine room body side panel. None of these Class 20's survive today No. 20039 was withdrawn from Bescot TMD in September 1986 and scrapped by Vic Berry at Leicester during June 1988, while No. 20089 followed from Immingham TMD in April 1987 and came back to Glasgow to be scrapped by MC Metals during November 1993. Finally No. 20125 was withdrawn from Bescot TMD in March 1987 and also scrapped by Vic Berry in Leicester during November 1988.
