With the Settle-Carlisle under the serious threat of closure West Yorkshire Metroplitan Council sponsored a Leeds-Carlisle Special hauled by LMS Class 5 No. 5305 on 8th March 1986 here seen shortly after exiting Blea Moor Tunnel and crossing Dent Head Viaduct in decidedly wintry conditions.
