4 Type 5 diesels are under repair inside BREL Doncaster Works on 11th May 1986. Romanian built Class 56 No. 56013 seems to have suffered fire damage to it's far No. 1 end bodyside, while 2 more Class 56's and a lone Class 58 complete the scene. Delivered during August 1977 Class 56 No. 56013 would spend less than 15 years in BR service before it's withdrawl from Toton TMD in April 1993, finally being scrapped by T J Thomson of Stockton in September 2001. The pair of new bogies in the foreground are for Class 58 No. 58043 which was under construction out of shot to the left of this image.
