Still retaining its NSE livery Class 308 No. 308140 calls at Norton Bridge on 08:30 Stoke on Trent-Coventry on 9th April 1994. The 1960's concrete footbridge suffered from "concrete cancer" and its poor state was subsequently used as an excuse by Railtrack to close Norton Bridge Station. It is now a complete eyesore in full view of the WCML.
