Class 41 Driving Motor Brake No. 41002 was one of the two prototype power cars built at BR Crewe Works in 1972 used to power the prototype High Speed Train during it's initial testing period on BR. Renumbered as Class 43 No. 43001 in 1974 it's career was short being withdrawn from service during November 1976 and passed on the Railway Technical Centre at Derby as a dead load vehicle and renumbered ADB975813. Seen here dumped outside Derby Works on Saturday 7th June 1986 official withdrawl from departmental service would occur in December 1986 with final disposal being undertaken by C F Booth of Rotherham during December 1990.
