Class 73/1 No. 73131 leads the 15:00 Bournemouth - Waterloo service at Micheldever on 25th April 1987. These engines were being used in place of withdrawn 4-Reps that were having their traction motors removed for re-use in the then-new Class 442 EMUs to be introduced the next year.
