60039 is now leading 'The Taffy Tug ' organised by Pathfinder Tours south from Maesteg on 2nd 4th August 2014 and is approaching Tondu where it will branch left towards Bridgend before heading for Tower Colliery near Aberdare. The track it is on is the one used by passenger trains in both directions between Maesteg and Bridgend while the one to the right is Llynfi Goods Loop, rarely used but traversed earlier by this tour on its northbound journey.
