Ex LMS Jubilee Class 6P 4-6-0 No. 45558 'Manitoba' passes Syston North Junction on 10th June 1960 with the 12:00 noon departure from Bradford to St. Pancras. My father had a short spell working from the signal box shown in the photo but then spent 12 years working from the Syston South Junction box and it would appear that this wonderful photograph was taken from a signal gantry.
