LNER Gresley Pacific Class A4 No. 60002 (Sir Murrough Wilson)is seen stored at Heaton Depot on 8th August 1964 with the unusual view of the opened smokebox door. No. 60002 had been withdrawn from service at Gateshead Depot in early May 1964. The front of one of the BR built Class J72 0-6-0T No. 69008 can also be seen, built 11 years after No. 60002.
