'The Wizards Express' from Manchester Victoria to York passes Colton South Junction about 50 minutes late, on 12th July 2014, headed by BR Brush Type 4 Class 47 No. 47580. The diesel loco had taken the train to Carnforth, where GWR Hall Class No. 5972 was attached at the front, but this was reversed at Leeds during mid-journey owing to a perceived fire risk.
