With a need to provide more powerful locos for the Chur-St Moritz Express service the RhB introduced 2 prototype Ge 6/6 II Bo-Bo-Bo locos in 1958. In common with the Ge/4/4 II locos which were introduced from 1947 onwards they carried the dark green livery. All have subsequently been reliveried in the now familiar red. The 2 prototypes have also been rebuilt with more modern 2 window cabs. In its early condition No. 702 Curia calls at Samedan on a St Moritz bound express on 26th February 1987.
