This is the scene at Rochester on the main London Victoria to Ramsgate Main line on Easter Saturday 19th April 2014. The main line has been cut through and the box tunnel construction for access from the new station to the car parks is being slid into position.The whole thing moves at about one-metre per hour being pushed by Hydraulic jacks on a temporary track.It will take all day to locate then the embankment must be rebuilt and the track replaced.
