Class 31/4 No. 31420 arrives at March on 28th November 1986 with the 13:30 Norwich - Birmingham New Street. New to traffic as No. D5591 on 18th February 1960 at 34B Hornsey, under TOPS renumbering it became No. 31172 in April 1974 and then to 31420 follow conversion to an ETH fitted locomotive. Stored at Old Oak Common 13th January 2001, it was finally withdrawn 28th February 2007 and cut up at CF Booth, Rotherham in July 2007.
