Class 44 No. D4 Great Gable is pictured at the Midland Railway Centre on 25th July 1989 off its bogies. Built at Derby Works and delivered new to traffic at 1B Camden on 26th September 1959, it became No. 44004 under TOPS on 8th April 1974. It was withdrawn on 30th November 1980 being sold into preservation on 23rd June 1981.
