BR Standard Class Five 73069 awaits its next duty at Patricroft MPD on 4th May 1968. Built at Crewe in 1954 it was initially allocated to Derby (17A). Its last two years of service were in the North-west and was withdrawn from Carnforth MPD in August 1968. The engine was cut up at Cashmores of Newport during March 1969. Stanier Black Five 45187 is in the background.
