Class 47/4 47500 'Great Western' in lined green livery complete with brass nameplate and plaques leaves Reading Station with a Cross Country train for the north on 31st March 1990. Delivered as D1943 in June 1966 to the LMR and renumbered as No. 47500 upon completion of ETH fitment in March 1974, a further change to No. 47770 took place in June 1994. Taken out of BR service in March 2007 she is currently active in the West Coast Railways fleet as No. 47500.
