Class 59/0 No. 59004 'Yeoman Challenger' waits for the road in Reading Station on 31st March 1990 with an empty aggregate train for the Merehead quarry near Westbury. Built by General Motors of Illinois, USA in 1985, and privately owned by Foster Yeoman these were the first privately owned locomotives to be allowed to operate on British Railways main lines.
