UK Railtours charter 'The Old Battle Axe' passes Copmanthorpe on 18th January 2014, headed by DBS Class 90 No. 90029. The Electric loco hauled the train from Finsbury Park as far as Tyne Yard, where it gave way to Class 66 traction forward to North Blyth and Lynemouth.
