BR Class 55 Deltic No. D9009 'Alycidon' departs from Grosmont's heavily-curved Platform 1, on 14th September 2013, with a train on Network Rail metals from Whitby (to Battersby). In the event, the loco would be required to push its train back to Grosmont (from Egton) following an unrelated and unconfirmed incident.
