After 50 years of watching railways, there are not many railway sights that make me say 'Wow!' but Duchess of Hamilton thundering south through Penrith Station at maybe 70mph is one of those moments. No. 46233 Duchess of Hamilton is taking the Cumbrian Mountain Express south through Penrith Station on Saturday 17th August 2013. It is about to face the climb to Shap and a water stop at Carnforth on its route back to Crewe.
