Metrolink M5000 unit No. 3047 passes the partially connected link to the phase 3b route through Oldham town centre, just north the A62 crossing.
Work is still in progress though the tracks are now in situ and the wires up.
The diversionary route through the town centre will result in the closure of the present route through Oldham Mumps which follows that old L&Y/LMS/BR route.
