Virgin Trains Class 221 5-coach Super Voyager No. 221104 is pictured approaching Wichnor Junction, Staffordshire on Tuesday 30th July 2013 as train 5G98, 15:49 Barton-under-Needwood (Central Rivers) to Birmingham New Street empty stock. These Virgin Trains-liveried Class 221 units were a common sight at this location during the period between August 2002 and December 2007 when Virgin Trains operated the cross country franchise but now they are only seen working empty stock to and from the nearby Central Rivers Maintenance Depot. The unit pictured is one of those that has a modified front with the unit number relocated.
