Class 172 turbostar No. 172005 passes South Tottenham on trials prior to introduction on the Gospel Oak - Barking route, on 17th September 2010. Note the London Overground station signage and staff uniforms. With full electrification now approved, the short lived use of diesel traction by London Overground will be history. Class 378 EMUs are the expected replacement traction with the 172s offered to a new TOC.
