On the evening of the 30th May 2013 the 6D51 Crewe Basford Hall-Toton engineers train headed by DB Schenker Class 60 No. 60059 Swinden Dalesman was brought to a halt on the up slow line at Shallowford between Norton Bridge and Stafford with 5th wagon of the High Output Ballast train well ablaze. By the Saturday morning 1st June 2013 the train had been dragged to the goods loop in the old parcel platform at Stafford where the damage to the wagons could be clearly seen.
