Two locomotives in the same livery, but in very contrasting conditions are seen in this image taken on 25th May 2013 at the Great Western Society's diesel gala at Didcot. On the left is Class 31 No. 31466 looking quite smart in its EWS livery alongside Class 37 No. 37521 'English China Clays' also in EWS livery, but looking to be in need of some TLC and a couple of coats of paint! The Class 31 had failed earlier in the day after some sterling work on the Demonstration Line with a couple of preserved GWR coaches.
