Taken from the cab of driving trailer No. 9102, with No. 73109 pushing, shortly after departing Gatwick on Victoria bound Gatwick Express, unit No. 5418 passes in the opposite direction. This was a Network South East travel anywhere in that area for £8 on 24th October 1987. The driver of No. 9102 took pity on us as we weren't allowed to travel on the Gatwick's and said it would be good to have someone to chat with on the journey.
