The scorched ground on the left bank is evidence of how hot embers from a steam engine can ignite the dry grass, something that did delay this 2B21 13:27 Leicester North to Loughborough service, hauled by Class 20 No. D8098 (20098). Less than 10 minutes earlier the 2 orange hi-vis clad enthusiasts, seen through the arch of the bridge, were busy putting out the fire. Seen during the GCR Swithland Steam Gala, on 28th April 2013.
