The train, comprising a S-stock unit for London Underground sandwiched between the locomotives and barrier tank wagons at each of the train is pictured approaching Clay Mills Crossing, north of Burton-on-Trent. BR blue-liveried Class 20 No's 20096 and 20107 are at the rear of the formation.
