An inevitable casualty of the Trent Valley 4Tracking was the abolition of Mechanical Signalboxes. The new Up Fast and Slow lines now pass through the site of the ex LNWR Signalbox at Hademore Crossing and the crossing has been replaced by a road overbridge some yards to the north. In happier times Hademore Crossing Box is operational on 31st July 2006.
