Pathfinder Tours' 'The Scenic Settler' on 23rd March 2013 never reached the S&C due to line closure, travelling to Carlisle and return via the WCML. The S&C had been closed to traffic due to reports of snow drifts between Ais Gill and Birkett. Passing a freezing Docker on the return journey, Freightliner Class 70 No. 70004 'The Coal Industry Society' and EWS Class 66 No. 66089 take the train south to Crewe where the Class 70 was due to be removed, and on to Eastleigh.
